We supply liquid helium and nitrogen storage dewars, gas handling and safety equipment and a wide range of cryogenic components for low temperature measurement systems.
Our laboratory essentials include stycast epoxy for fixing cryogenic equipment, indium wire and foil for vacuum flanges and apiezon grease for heatsinking and lubrication.
Low temperature work makes great demands upon the electrical wiring used. Wire, connectors and heatsinking must be selected to minimise heatleak at low temperature. Laboratory cables need to be made professionally for low-noise performance.
Sample mounting components include non-magnetic JEDEC chip carriers and mPuck sample mounting stages for experiments below 4K, especially in vacuum when sample thermalisation needs to be achieved via demountable electrical connections.
CMR-Direct produces the industry's only commercial low temperature transformers, which coupled with Lock-In detection and narrow-band filtering, can provide ultra-low-noise performance for AC Resistivity and AC Susceptibility measurements.
We provide a range of vessels for liquid nitrogen use. The self-pressurising liquid nitrogen vessels use a valve to divert liquid to a boiling coil inside the vessel, which increases the pressure so that liquid can be forced out. For smaller amounts of liquid nitrogen storage we also have unpressurised storage dewars and transfer buckets. The liquid nitrogen range is completed with a selection of open nitrogen dewars for use as cold-traps on ultra-low temperature systems or experiments to 77K.
